⏸️ How’s the Kotlin mascot doing? Paused

It’s been a while since we introduced the new Kotlin mascot, and we’ve been carefully monitoring the feedback. Although many of you have expressed enthusiasm for the mascot, some have also voiced criticism and disapproval. 

We kindly ask you to refrain from using the mascot in its current form.

Although it might not be possible to create something that everyone loves, this mascot should be representative of the community and we want all of you to feel like it is. We’re going to take a step back and address all of the concerns and suggestions for improvement that we’ve received. We’ll be in touch soon!


Kotlin has been around for ten years, but there was always one big thing that we felt was missing – a mascot. Now we want to change that. Meet the new Kotlin mascot!  

There will be a couple of steps in this decision-making process: first, we will gather all the name ideas, then we will pick the most frequently mentioned names and the ones we like the most, and then we will put the names to a vote to choose the final one.
